E-Lottery: All You Should Know

October 1st, 2009

The Elgordo Lottery is part of the Euromillions Euro lottery, but if that’s all you’ve heard you definitely need to find out more. Offering one of the world’s biggest jackpots, this simple wager offers pots that can run up to 2.6 billion Euros. Nor is this the lottery’s only claim to fame! In this lottery the odds of winning something are an amazing one in six, with more than thirteen thousand different amounts. When you consider the prizes pitched by other lotteries, you’ve got to admit that Elgordo’s offerings are very good. There is one draw per month under the aegis of the Euromillions Euro lotto. But three months a year are scheduled for special draws for yet bigger prizes. These special draws occur in January, summer, and around Christmas; in order, these are El Nio, San Ildefonso & Elgordo (which, quite aptly, means “Fat One”).

Unlike typical lottery systems, the Elgordo Lottery utilizes balls with five digits printed on each one ranging from 00,000 to 84,999. During the draw a ball is selected from a bowl to identify the winning number and another ball is drawn from the second bowl to decide the prize value.

So how do you enter this lottery? You have two choices; the first is that you can get a “serie” or a full ticket. Also available for purchase is a “décimo”, which is worth one tenth of a full ticket. This is the cheaper option. Neither alternative is especially cheap, however, and of course neither has a better chance of being one of the 1/6 winning tickets. As a result many people playing the Euromillions Euro lottery instead use the e-lottery scheme.

The e-lottery system promises a prize to everyone who takes part. Just buy into the Euromillions Euro Lottery syndicate and you’ll be divided into teams. With each team numbered between 0 – 9, the last digit on the winning number signifies the winners who will take the prize. An equal division of the prize amongst the team comes next. In preparation for next month’s lottery, the syndicate takes subscriptions once again to continue the e-lottery.

Sharing the jackpots is cause for concern for some people. The thing is, there’s still plenty to share out when the original prize was 2.6 billion Euros. With a guaranteed win once a month, the syndicate system is both more affordable and less of a worry as you know you’ll get a return. There isn’t any better return.
